I just wish intel would spend a little more on providing larger heatsinks, since this is tiny in comparison to the heat sinks found in your typical dell.The only real downside is the processor has been out since late 2008, & prices haven't come down at all. It's easy to run stable at 3.5 ghz using the stock cooler & temps hold well during heavy usage. This is a cheap 45nm processor that can outperform all Core 2 duo's with a little bit of overclocking, for about $200 less. I built an OSX system using this cpu & a g31 gigabyte mobo.

I'm sure it helps with the games I play. I adjusted the FSB in the BIOS to make the processor run faster.
I reverted the speed back to 2.5GHz though. Overclocking is easy, but that is thanks to the motherboard.
I used this processor in my first build along with the Asus P5GC-MX/1333 motherboard and it installed no problem. I have 3.2GB of RAM and a 512MB graphics card.

Perfect for low power systems, and doesn't sacrifice any performance. This processor runs very cool and stable, even in a tiny, cramped htpc case with less than adequate ventilation. Overclocks to 3.5Ghz or more with better cooling.This is a 45nm die, and rated at 65W.
